UX/UI Architecture & Immersive Interface: Color Smart Application Framework
Project Overview
This digital product initiative focuses on the user experience (UX) engineering, user interface (UI) design, and strategic wireframing for an advanced mobile and augmented reality (AR) platform concept tailored for the paint and architectural coatings company BEHR. Entitled Polar Pigments, the application framework streamlines the interior design journey by integrating dynamic color exploration tools, custom paint formulation metrics, and cutting-edge virtual spatial analysis tools. The objective was to replace traditional consumer purchasing friction with an intuitive, seamless visual aid environment.
User Journey & Information Architecture
The core design challenge lay in organizing complex, multi-layered data paths into clean, high-fidelity wireframes that remain completely user-centric.
- Wireframe Infrastructure: The layout features a systematically mapped user journey tracking each primary utility of the ecosystem. This spans color-matching algorithms, bespoke finish selection, and cart procurement logistics, ensuring a high-conversion digital blueprint.
- Immersive AR Integration: Expanding upon emerging metaverse paradigms and next-generation smart hardware systems, the concept incorporates an immersive AR interface layer. This technology allows spatial overlays to seamlessly map color values onto real-world environments in real time, delivering instantaneous, distraction-free visual feedback.
Design Intent & Industry Application
Drawing heavily from an industrial aesthetic and building materials background, the project balances functional utility with sleek minimalism. The final product assets showcase a high-level mastery of interaction design, providing a scalable digital solution that elevates brand loyalty and modernization within the hardware sector.
