Project Overview

Trill Mag is an independent, non-profit digital media publication engineered for the Gen-Z demographic, focusing on global news, entertainment, and modern culture. Serving as a dedicated Graphic Design Intern, the objective was to collaborate directly with the editorial department to conceptualize, design, and deploy bespoke digital illustrations and feature graphics to accompany high-traffic editorial articles. This specific deployment focuses on the visual asset generation for the feature article, “Speed And Style: How Formula 1 Fashion Took Off,” written by Jordan Renwick, exploring the intersection of motorsport brand equity and contemporary apparel trends.

Design Strategy & Commercial Imagery

The core creative challenge lay in capturing the extreme velocity and commercial scale of high-performance racing merchandise while maintaining clear product focus.
  • Composition & Visual Anchors: The primary featured graphic utilizes a commercial-editorial format, positioning towering fashion mannequins outfitted in F1-inspired collections directly over an active Formula 1 racing sequence. The dynamic, complex background environment is balanced by clean, minimalist garment styling to ensure immediate product legibility and visual pop. Inspiration was derived from automotive broadcast media and high-end sports apparel campaigns.
  • Layout Conception & Iteration: The development pipeline involved multiple conceptual directions to target separate audience layers. Initial rough drafts introduced an illustrative, character-driven angle featuring an animated F1 driver displaying a stylized apparel ensemble by Puma and Mercedes-Benz.

Technical Execution

All publication layouts and conceptual cartoon turnarounds were executed within a streamlined digital design pipeline using the Adobe Creative Suite. The production workflow focused on composite layering, vector asset scaling, and web-optimized color profiles to ensure immediate visual delivery across responsive digital channels.
